I think this is another “Jeepney” ride for me, another great stuff from my fellow Filipino. Neo Philippines launched their mini laptop -eXplore X1 that is running in an Intel processor and a Windows XP OS with a 30GB hard disk. Something they want to compete in the world of EeePC that really make a buzz after its release. The price is very competitive to EeePC or asus which is running in a non-Windows OS. Here is the media release note:
PC manufacturer Neo and multinational computer processor maker Intel have jointly launched a new 16,999-peso mini laptop (eXplore X1), spokesmen said Saturday.
The Neo Explore is a “ruggedized and shock-proof” laptop with a keyboard that will not be damaged by spillages of liquids, said Neo spokeswoman Mariel Que.
It weighs 0.66 kilograms (1.45 pounds) and is the size of a schoolchild’s lunchbox but will have the memory capacity and usual features of a standard basic laptop.
Though the Explore is primarily designed for primary school children here, it can also be used by first-time PC users for word-processing and Internet access, said Intel Philippines country manager Ricky Banaag.

Need to keep important files handy? You don’t necessarily have to shell out 50 bucks for a high-capacity thumb drive. Instead, use Gmail’s free 2.7GB of storage as an off-site backup for the files you need access to. The easiest way is to simply attach your file to an email and shoot it to your Gmail account. Then you can retrieve it at any time just by logging in and running a quick search of your inbox. Of course, Gmail’s 10MB attachment limit means you won’t be able to archive massive documents. But it’s a great way keep your most essential files handy wherever there’s an Internet connection.
To take even greater advantage of Gmail’s free storage space, you’ll need to download a helper app. Firefox users can download Gmail Space from Mozilla’s Firefox Add-ons library, which turns the web browser into an easy-to-use file explorer. The extension lets you drag and drop files directly into Gmail’s storage space, without having to worry about the attachment size limit.
Alternatively, you can download Gmail Drive Shell Extension (free) for more ubiquitous access throughout your Windows PC. Gmail Drive Shell Extension sets up your Gmail storage space as a network drive on your PC, which you can access simply by double-clicking the GMail Drive icon in My Computer and then entering your Gmail username and password. Once you log in, your Gmail storage will act just like any other drive on your PC. It even works with Windows Vista.

This is not actually a double post guys, I just want to give you an update about “ashop shopping cart software” that I posted a few days ago. For some reason I got chance to chat with my friends last night and I got a chance to mention to him about ashop ecommerce software and to my surprise he know about it but with a bit of confusion for he is giving me a new URL the one with “[dot]com[dot]au” . So I ask him if its the one same one that I’m talking to so we check it and yeah. they are the same one but this one is based on Australia, so the home data center and support is in Australia.
But if you think they have a different promotion or ways of handling technical support, well your wrong guys. All those 24hours live technical support and a free 10 days test drive was also available here. Actually the only difference or advantage I can see here is when your using the ftp access of your site or the control panel. It will be more faster than the one far away from you. So if you need some immediate update on your stocks or promotion you can probably got a faster access. Though the services like WYSIWYG editor, quantity discount, multiple currency, integrated with all major banks and payments gateways, domestic and international accurate tax calculation based on customer’s location, sales reports, affiliate program module, Ultra-fast web server hosting, free SEO tips and tools are all the same.
So if you’re reading this post now why not start the Test Drive and start your own online store. Remember it’s an Award Winning Shopping Cart Software , that’s what they saying
. Good luck to your new online store. Don’t forget to send me a discount coupon, you know what I mean.

Gmail has its own built-in audio player for use with file attachments. You can put it to work as an online MP3 player by using labels and mail filters to sort your files.
First, set up a label called MP3. Next, set up a filter that searches for MP3 content by clicking Create a Filter at the top of the screen. Enter “mp3†in the “Has the words†field and check the box marked “Has attachment.†This will search for any messages with music files attached (including any you may have uploaded using the GMail Drive Shell Extension mentioned earlier). Now click Next Step and check the box marked “Apply the label†and choose the label MP3. Now any time you want to pump up some jams, you can click the MP3 label on the left side of your screen and pick a tune from the list.
Now you can enjoy your collection of mp3 anywhere as long you have internet connection

Last night I got a chance to upgrade my Wordpress to version 2.5 in just 10 minutes including backing up data and deactivate and activating all the plugins. The three step upgrade is the one that I use and the best way I can say. I actually first try the “Automatic Upgrade plugin but It didn’t work great for me, I always got the timeout error when he starting uploading the WP 2.5. So I rather do the Three Step Upgrade which is actually easy to do as long as you have an FTP connection and that’s it.
When I go to admin panel, my first impression is quite a mix of confusion and excitement. I’m still quite lost inside the admin section with a new name for tag and button, so far I’m still putting my self to feel comportable in all aspect of admin section. Some of the features that I though was so confusing at first but when you get into it, you will know how good it is now than before. I won’t say to much for now, since I’m still familiarizing myself to my new WordPress environment. So for now I’m still reading some articles and features of the new wordpress so I won’t miss any single bit of information how WordPress 2.5 make my life much easier now.
Just a bit of update, when I start uploading my pictures I started to see some problem with the image uploader and see a lot of post talking about it. Any type or sizes image that I upload same error I get. So what I did is I use FTP to transfer my image and get the URL, using the old image insert command. So this is my first problem with WP 2.5, nothing is perfect let’s learn from our mistakes.
Much Love to the WordPress Team and Community!

It was a week now since was I installed my auction plugin for thinking that in anyhow I can earn some money for selling stuff but it was just for sidebar only of my blog, only small item or minimal number of items you can sell. So what I did I try to googling around looking for something that will help me, what if I plan to build my own online store. Something for not programming savvy like me.
And to my surprise I stumbling this ashop commerce- a shopping cart software with features that includes inventory control, post the featured products, the rich text editor (WYSIWYG-What You See Is What You Get editor), auto image resizing (so no need for learning Photoshop of software alike), quantity discounts, multiple currency so no limit for customer geo-location, integrated with all major banks and payments gateways, domestic and international accurate tax calculation based on customer’s location, sales reports, affiliate program module, Ultra-fast web server hosting, free SEO tips and tools and with built in SEO structures, 50 editable themes for free that you can modify and use according to type of your store and what are you selling and many other good stuffs included in the software, not to mention the 24 hours live tech support and customer service, real people. So your mind is focus on selling and not worrying on the technical side. With Ashop commerce ease of use, functionality, flexibility and affordability combined (what the future boss like you, was looking for).
With their free test drive for 10 days with no credit card required is also a good way to check and proven all the features and capacity of the software. So once you hit the road, I mean when you sign up you can immediately start setting up your store instead of seeing yourself familiarizing in the software environment for 10 days with no income or exposure. And with their signup bonus for free online advertising credit is also a good offer to consider for the promotion of your new store. So take the test drive now!

Here is another sad day for all Torrent Community, another Torrent site was shutted down by MPAA. TorrentSpy is permanently closed down there site last March 24, 2008, as they said it was a semi-voluntarily basis and not mentioning or denied the reason that their lost in a two-year court battle with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), which resulted to their decision to close down and joining several other now-defunct BitTorrent sites.
In a message posted on all that’s left of their website, TorrentSpy wrote they have “spent the last two years, and hundreds of thousands of dollars, defending the rights of our users and ourselves.”
Surely a site that defend their user’s rights must be supported by their users in return. Are you a bittorrent downloader, how do you support them?
