Google released their browser apps yesterday to compete with Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. “Chrome” is the entry of Google browser project to give the user a clean and minimal design browser, which I also like about Chrome. I’m a big fan of Firefox but never I use any of it’s theme just the plain Firefox browser experience.
One of the Chrome feature that I really like is the “Incognito”, the browser’s privacy mode which prevents local files from recording the user’s browsing activities. Incognito, like Internet Explorer 8’s InPrivate mode and Safari’s Private Browsing mode, interferes with the placement of cookie files that advertisers use for ad tracking and targeting. Mozilla is also planning a similar privacy mode for future versions of Firefox.But don’t take this as safe browser, Chrome was still in Beta version, bugs and safety is not been officially confirm in any way.
But so far Chrome speed is look promising, no problem streaming YouTube or Veoh. Faster loading and of course the built in adblock (I wonder how they can live with it, without the advertiser) anyway that was good so far for us, but we never know what’s in the mind of Google. I’m sure they won’t just leave their advertiser without backing them and for sure Google will soon create a way to push all their adsense, adwords, all their advertising money machine to put it inside Chrome.. sense.

This is a very interesting topic that I stumbled upon something that Apple is heading to Open Computing Languange, as Apple is gathering a full support for an open GPU API, since the full computational power of GPUs is trapped behind proprietary APIs.
With Open Computing Languange it would provide a unified programming platform, so applications could work with graphics cards from any vendor. Today developers writing applucations must use proprietary languanges such as Nvidia’s CUDA or ATI’s Stream for GPU-specific applications. OpenCL would let a developer exploit both platforms with a single API. Already backing up OpenCL are AMD, 3dLabs, Intel, Nvidia, ARM, Freescale, and others, not to be surprised if Microsoft is not in yet. Being Apple their is good enough to start with.

This is a not so good news for all loyal Windows XP user or somebody who hate to use Windows Vista. If you think getting away from Vista is your reason for keep coming back to XP, well think again. As of june 30, Microsoft has pulled the plug on the retail life of the windows XP OS, but like a zombie that just refuses to go on, XP will still be continue walking in the face of the earth and will be offered to OEM manufacturers through January 31, 2009.
According to Dell, Microsoft is mandating that XP downgrades occur only on enterprise, bussiness and gaming machines for the privilege, Dell will tack on an additional $20 fee to the price of the system. Microsoft denies the allegations, insisting that anyone with Windows Vista Bussiness or Ultimate is eligible for the the downgrade. Microsoft also maintains that it is not forcing retailers to limit consumer’s options for downgrading based on system builds.
