Another bad news again for Hardware aficionados, AMD pull-out once again the release of Phenom 9700 and 9900, their reason is to concentrate on lower power consumption chips. Both CPUs were initially expected by the end of this winter but AMD has shifted to a more greener 1.8GHz Phenom 9100E CPU. AMD denies rumours that the delay is due to to continued issues with the TLB bug, saying that the issues has been fixed.

“We just got off the phone with AMD, who told us that they’re actually ahead of schedule on the “B3″ Phenom silicon, which fixes that buffer error without requiring a new BIOS, and that they expect to ship higher frequency quad-core Phenoms in Q2 as planned. They would not, however, give us model numbers or clock speeds, and wouldn’t commit to a date in Q2 — so don’t be surprised if these hit as the 9750 and 9950 on the last day of Q2 after all.”

Yes, that’s right. This is more than just your typical huge air cooler. The giant radial fan and heatsink combination you’re looking at covers up an underlying pump and self-contained coolant mechanism. It’s a hybrid cooler, one that can apparently suck four times the heat off a CPU using Waytronx’s fancy, proprietary carbon technology. You’ll also note the giant hole in the center of the device–it’s surrounded by a radial fan, akin to what you would find on a stock cooler for an 8800 video card. As you’ll note in the picture above, this CPU cooler is taking on the additional task of cooling two 8800 cards. Don’t be surprised to see this, as nothing outside of a peltier seems to be able to provide adequate cooling for a typical Quad-Core + SLI 8800s setup.But the WayCool designs are just big. Clough swears they’ll fit within Intel’s specification of a 550g (~1.2 pound) maximum heatsink weight, but I just can’t believe that to be accurate in the slightest. Especially given what’s underneath the hood.

I was expecting a dramatic “woosh” when Clough powered his test machine up for the first time, but the cooler is fairly quiet, given it’s unassuming size. I’m not suggesting it’s silent by any means, but it’s at least not going to blow an eardrum. Of course, this is all just abject speculation–for all I know, the cooler could have been set at its lowest speed setting.

Today is the first day in Lunar Calendar year 4706, and the first day of my blog to be freed in the wild world web. For people who believe in the lunar new year, for them this is the best day to start your plan and leave all the misfortune happen to your life last year. I don’t actually believe in luck nor I’m a superstitious type of person. But I can say, why not give it a try and maybe the luck will flow on my side this year. So better start it with a blog, with a black color theme, which is means money in chinese. Well, if my PageRank will sky rocketed in the next few months their is no reason for me not to believe in the luck bring by “Chi” this new year. Feng-Shui is the main guide or pattern that will tell what you need to do and not to do to have a good life and health this new year. Little I know about this but you can check this site to know more about lunar new year.
