New WordPress, New Environment-Good Life

wordpress 2.5
Last night I got a chance to upgrade my Wordpress to version 2.5 in just 10 minutes including backing up data and deactivate and activating all the plugins. The three step upgrade is the one that I use and the best way I can say. I actually first try the “Automatic Upgrade plugin but It didn’t work great for me, I always got the timeout error when he starting uploading the WP 2.5. So I rather do the Three Step Upgrade which is actually easy to do as long as you have an FTP connection and that’s it.
When I go to admin panel, my first impression is quite a mix of confusion and excitement. I’m still quite lost inside the admin section with a new name for tag and button, so far I’m still putting my self to feel comportable in all aspect of admin section. Some of the features that I though was so confusing at first but when you get into it, you will know how good it is now than before. I won’t say to much for now, since I’m still familiarizing myself to my new WordPress environment. So for now I’m still reading some articles and features of the new wordpress so I won’t miss any single bit of information how WordPress 2.5 make my life much easier now.

Just a bit of update, when I start uploading my pictures I started to see some problem with the image uploader and see a lot of post talking about it. Any type or sizes image that I upload same error I get. So what I did is I use FTP to transfer my image and get the URL, using the old image insert command. So this is my first problem with WP 2.5, nothing is perfect let’s learn from our mistakes.
Much Love to the WordPress Team and Community!

We upgraded last week, too (we were in the dark ages with 2.1.3) and it went smoothly. Not sure what the developers were thinking when they put stuff where its landed, not at all as logical as it was, but still hey I didn’t program it LOL so it is appreciated.

The only thing is we want our HeadSpace2 to work again - hoping this developer figures it all out quickly :)

Oh, btw, your graphic is really cool :)
